As college students attending a fairly large school, there are millions of factors that contribute to the stress we feel on a daily basis. From impossible exams to psycho roommates, we do not have the time or mental capacity to worry about frivolous tasks such as finding a parking spot. Unfortunately at Clemson University, parking is almost always a problem for students as there seems to never be enough of it, or the spots are too far away from where we need to go. What makes matters worse, if a student were to accidentally park in a spot that is not originally "meant" for him or her, they are punished with an overpriced ticket.

A parking pass for the entire year is $180, and because Clemson fails to provide enough space in general, students are sometimes forced to fork out even more money towards a metered spot. It seems as though the simple solution would be to take the Catbus, however, this transportation service is unfortunately notorious for taking "detours" down stairwells or bursting into flames. |

The university does not consider how much of a difference a decent parking spot makes when you are running late for your exam that you pulled an all-nighter for, or when the temperature feels below freezing and your only jacket is sitting somewhere in a building on the other side of campus. We feel that these obstructions are a crime against the youth of America who are only trying to receive an education in this competitive world.
